Projects visual identity of the Franco-German University
28 11 2008
OBJECTIVE: For 10 years the University of trans-border, there was a facelift to establish their identity. We have gone one step further by proposing new trails logo.
The university is named UFA (University Franco German) ... in French and DFH (Deutsch-Französische Hochschule) in German ... coercion is to create a visual identity Multilingual ...

A logo Ambigrams: One sign for two entities that interact and complement each other without losing their identité.L idea of Ambigrams is extended to the signingand the badge "10 years" which also operate in both directions.

Here "FMU" and "DFH" are united in their joint letter ... graphic game symbolizing the crossing, the exchange of students between France and Germany.

Modular system: This track is designed as a toolbox consisting of a block with the "eye" (from the existing logo), blocks with acronyms, colors and shading.

Envoi ...

There are some very interesting choices in each track ... but why have done the same?Is not it a shame to scatter (with ability, of course) instead of collecting (or not) the best ideas into a single proposal strong and willful.
Allow customer choice may be similar (this may not be your case) to a non-decision (and work against the designer). It is really very tempting for a fascinating subject, to develop their good ideas (especially as a single topic / issue there are many possible solutions and variations). However, would it not be better, when "states" (intellectually and formally) something (through is a proposal in the context of a command) to have a single proposal, specific and controversial (rightly).
Was this your intention or your client (competition) to produce three tracks (quite different)? (and this issue also joined your work for the Geode, the first part seemed very relevant)
I am curious to know more about the background (command context and creation) of these proposals ... ^ ^
... That the right questions! ... That we asked 24 hours late!
This is a work that was done very quickly ... we worked to 4 above ... with a certain lack of consultation ... Result: 3 / 4 based tracks (a priori) the road ...
What to do ... take 3 days to make a choice ... we should have! but alas the time has failed ... Result (a), the client was very disoriented, and has perhaps not been reassured by the profusion of signs ...
It has promised since then (recently) no longer work at 4 on a tender and no longer pose as many tracks ...
It is a debate that had already been moultes both of us ...
there seems to be two schools ... those who offer 36 tracks ... and then the other ...
Having worked with a lot of agencies, we have seen responses to invitations to tender "completed as nets filled" ... and other inversely stripped ...
I do not know what is the best solution, I just know that working at 4 on a project virtually unpaid, it is less profitable than work at 1 or 2 ...
And you? tell us how you proceed? (And who you are? What you do?)
