Soletanche Bachy is a construction company specialized in soil trades.
The art of foundations is as old as the world, but its scientific expression, "geotechnics", only dates back to the 1920s. Soletanche and Bachy were the pioneers of this new discipline and developed most of the innovations that revolutionized soil technologies. Their merger in 1997 consolidated their leadership in the sector, making them a world reference in the field of foundations and soil technologies.
As is often the case, Soletanche Bachy's communication started with "homemade" designs and was above all technically oriented. Our mission was to review the communication positioning, and develop a readable and strong graphic charter, in order to create coherence throughout their communication media.
Brochures, leaflets, reports, PowerPoint, website... We have worked on dozens of different media, and have delivered as many ready-to-use templates for the production of future documents.
We illustrate the baseline "Build on us" by playing with "what is above" and "what is beneath". An horizontal line symbolically cuts the composition into two areas. The text is composed vertically, as a solid construction with underground foundations. Typography becomes architecture.
The brochures are designed with a flap system. A simple principle that turns a classic A4 brochure into an original and functional object.
Our mission was to creating the brand universe of Soletanche Bachy, Menard and, in a 2nd level, of SoilTeam. We had to design a unique visual identity that can be applied to both entities and the whole network. This graphic charter project had to be thought in a global way and for various communication media: print, digital (computer, tablet, mobile), events, equipment, etc.
The group operates with many subsidiary that conduct their projects independently. This also applies to communication, that is adapted according to local cultures. Therefore, one of the challenges was to create support to the new graphic charter and to deliver templates that could easily be used by all the subsidiaries.
